MOWCS WC visited the Western Cape’s Premier’s Office  on the 5th November 2012. She asked us to present who we are, our case and what kind of assistance we required from her. We presented the MOWCS history and development since 1964, 13million meals served last year, 258 service centres around South Africa 13 registered centres in WC and 22 service points in Khayelitsha and Gugulethu, MOWCS SA’s  vision for transforming lives in the previously disadvantaged Khayelitsha, the sustainability plan and  a sound financial muscle, the work on the ground to date, the application made last year for operating space supported by Khayelitsha Ward Forum and the Department of Social Department and also expressing how this project align to the City of Cape Town’s vision of alleviating poverty in the Province. She said she is looking into the matter with keen interest and will come back to us as soon as possible………To date we had several correspondences with her and she has tasked the Head of Public Works in Western Cape, Mr Gary Fisher, to assist us in securing ground on provincial land and there is remarkable progress.
